Each story is unsettling in its own way. One reads the last page of most and feels a little queazy. Not physically, more emotionally or intellectually left off keel. In more than one story the narrator (Female, First Person in the majority) tells us plainly that she is X (trustworthy, careful, etc.) and then the actions of the story belie that self description. Wonderful sentences and descriptions found throughout.
