I don't know who they are doing these product tests with, but those people suck. I hate that you can't easily view the series and the author's other books from the main page anymore and browsing reviews is SO DIFFICULT now

Midniteillusion I thought I was the only one. I sent tons of feedback on the beta about how bad it was but they still changed. Pretty sure they don’t care what their users think.

Cécile Smits I don’t know how many times i told them i hated it when i was faced with the “beta-version”,but they sure haven’t listened….
Which they should’ve imho….because Goodreads is made for the people that use it,right? The readers and authors that want to connect,and discuss the books they love. It was userfriendly before the Zon took over…why change something that clearly works? 🤯🤯🤯

It's an illogical design set up for advertising IMO. It really boils my blood that they asked for feedback, and then proceeded to ignore our honest assessments, concerns, and frustrations. Why ask when we, the users, obviously don't get a say?

Nope. I emailed several times as well. Seems like they don't care. When a company no longer listens to their target audience is begs the question... who are they targeting? Who is their audience? What are their goals and objectives? If it's to promote books, authors, and conversation... I'm just not seeing it with the new setup. And I'm obviously not alone.

EXACTLY! Were people complaining before? NO! As my Grandma use to say, "If it ain't broke, don't replace it." Why are they working on the aesthetics instead of their system performances?

1) goodreads crashing constantly

"Goodreads request took too long.
The latest request to the Goodreads servers took too long to respond. We have been notified of the issue and are looking into it.


2) notifications sporadically not working
3) written reviews not saving
4) previously written reviews randomly deleting themselves
5) etc etc etc

Fix what doesn't work, NOT what does! Maybe that's too logical an idea. 🤷‍♀️

I have 2 questions for them...

1) Why ask? Seriously! Why ask if you're going to do what YOU want anyways?
2) Who is Goodreads for if not the active users who use it on a daily basis?


Starr (AKA Starrfish) Rivers They're going to control and ruin this just like they control and ruin everything else! And yet I NEED them! I hate this!! I can't like without KU or Amazon Prime!!

Are they trying to hide the fact the site doesn’t work as it should?
That it crashes regularly?
By forcing a change in the layout that everyone clearly hates?

Your grandma was a wise woman and i totally agree!
