Argh I feel like I need to finish this now that I’m a third of the way through but it’s getting painful. A Scotsman in 1949 calling university “school”??? It feels like it was written with no research. I just can’t. 😭

If she starts calling sweets 'candy' or something like that, I'd thoroughly understand if you decide to call it a day on this one 😆

I gave up about five seconds later! Every character in the book was acting like someone from 2022 but in 1949. Pure cringe. 🙈
