The only time that he can eat is when he is at school. His mom and dad are alocholics.

What is going on in this book is that the mom and dad got into a fight about there son and they where talking to each other if his mom treated him bad. When the mom asked her husband about the boy he said yes that you are mean to him all of the time. She said if you think that I am then let him out of the house. Then he goes under a bridge with no parents and he is hungry. He can only eat at school but not at home.
