still reading but I can't help but feel that Qutb is confused
1. shari'ah can only come when an islamic community has been established (according to him there is no islamic community right now)
2. so shari'ah should not be enforced if thats not the case
3. jihaad is not def. but offensive
4. islam is meant to destroy political systems and giving freedom of belief
5. freedom of belief can be against islam

'islamic civilization' is explained well by Qutb, it carries eternal values shared by all islamic civilizations, yet based on locality will take on a different form and shape based on what local resources are used

Qutb explains faith well, how faith should be and how faith should be practiced, however, as he denounces those with 'wishful thinking' and the theorists (i agree with how reducing Islam to a mere theory is bad) he seems too much of a wishful theorist himself
