Yeah, rereading this several years later, there are definitely some problematic elements. But listen, I love it.

This was my favorite book back in 2012. I want to see how it stands up.

this book is delicious, delicious candy.

initial irritations with the main character have waned exponentially after being slapped in the face with plot, delicious plot and incredibly good writing.

a couple of pages in and i already find the writing slightly pretentious, but we'll see what happens. i see much promise with this one.
