The inference that any interest in our Hindu past is tantamount to being communal is the ludicrous reaction of people of a certain ideological persuasion.
For them, millennia of our history, and of the undeniable and unparalleled achievements of ancient India, must lie buried, unexplored and forgotten because to show an appreciation or interest in turns you automatically into a ‘Hindu’ fundamentalist.
