Finally it's getting better

At least the social and political commentary are interesting.

Okay, so let's throw in a random lesbian kiss, and let's stereotype the foreign African woman, or even the American Jew whose father was a WW2 survivor (of course he was! Weren't all Jews in the War?).. And now what, science fiction? Magic? I'm determined to finish because I bought this book, but it's a bit of a struggle. This could've used another round of some serious editing.

Frankly a bit disappointed thus far.. thin plot which rather quickly unravels (two such different people don't just fall in love after twice obscure meetings at the dentist's..), annoying errors in the (not very imaginative) prose, and even repetitive imagery.
