This is the end of the book. Gordy's attempt to help William walk didn't go so well. It's the beginning of the summer and William moved away, and Gordy's dad came to take them to California. At the end of the summer, Gordy and June stayed in Grandville with their grandmother.Gordy never liked his father because his father was abusive and had a very short temper. And as the summer ends William is back.
