Suspense is a state or feeling of excited or anxious uncertainty about what may happen. The author uses it by building up the next scene and making you think about what will happen. An example from the book I am reading is "If I didn't know better, Id say that Harrys lost control of his broom."

The theme in the book I am currently reading is good overcomes evil, examples would be when Harry Potter defeats Voldemort as a baby and in the end of the book.
