At this point of the book, Willow has really gotten stronger since the accident. She is smiling, and has started to come out of her shell. Mai and her family has made a big impact on Willow. If it weren't for them, Willow would be with strangers in a foster home, and she wouldn't be getting better. I really love this book. It is sad, but at the same time very motivational. Her story is amazing, and it is realistic.

This book is about a 12 year old girl named Willow. She is having a hard time making friends in middle school. She doesn't fit in well, because she is a genius. Right now she has a problem. She got a perfect score on her test and everybody thinks she cheated. She also likes to plant, and study medical conditions. She is definitely not an ordinary girl, but the author finds a good way to describe her.
