The only thing that I would change about the book, would be that the author always repeats himself two or three times every chapter.

In my book, my main character struggles with his mother abusing him. I cannot really connect with that, because nobody in my family has ever been abused, so I don't really know what he is going through, even though I can kind of assume.

If I made this book into a movie, the main character would probably be a little boy that is going through that same thing, because he knows how painful this is, and he knows what his character would be going through.

I think the author wrote this, because he wanted to express his feelings against child abuse. I think that the main characters feelings really shine through this book, because he is just a little boy in first grade (for the second time) that is being abused by his mother, and with all of that he is also trying to fight through all of this at once. Also, his father is never there, because of work, so he can't hear

I learned that you always need to fight through things. He is being abused by his crazed mother, and he knows what is going on. He is a very smart kid that knows when and what to do at the right times. He always fights through things and I thought that was pretty cool.

My character does not remind me of anybody I know, because him and his two brothers are being abused by their single mother that doesn't care at all about herself. She used to be this skinny, beautiful woman that made sure that her kids were safe, healthy, well fed, and clean. Now... Not so much.

I think that this book and the book, The Fault in our Stars, are a lot alike, because the characters all suffer with life struggles, because the characters in The Fault in our Stars both have cancer, and in this book, the little boy and all of his brothers are suffering with being abused by his mother at a very young age, and he is about to tell the school nurse, who he goes to see every morning before school starts.
