I think I already see slightly better why DBH rejects open theism. Embarrassingly, I have probably had something of a demiurgic misunderstanding of the idea of creation. I've certainly viewed "creation" as a particular action that got the cosmos started, thanks to my religious education, in addition to God's continual upholding of said cosmos. But that seems to be mistaken.

I wish I had read this in high school. It would, or at least might, have saved me from being troubled by fundamentalism in college.
