I'm not sure it's always successful, but this book seems to be working at double pace to connect the three series and smooth out dubbing inconsistencies. It's fun to read, but it's for those reasons as much as the story.

This section of the series certainly is winding down quickly, but I can't say that I'm sorry. There have been some bizarre perspective shift choices in the latter half of this novel.

Until I'm reading one of these novels, I always forget how bizarre the attempt to combine an episodic and edited-for-kids anime with the style of a hard sci-fi novel is. It makes the dialogue slightly surreal.
