I was hoping to skim it but it's starting out very good. As it turns out, it's really 2 books re-published into one volume. I saw the first publish date which was a year after Merlin's Ring in 1974, but come to find out the original 2 books in this volume were written in the 1930s! I'm hoping the author hasn't evolved into the longwinded bore he was in Merlin's Ring.
