This is difficult for me to get into, too much contemporary and not enough P&P. Some of the character obstacles (introduced at breakneck speed in the first chapter) seem a little contrived, too. But the Elizabeth character is relatable, so I am trying again to get as far as the introduction of the Darcy character.
