The supporting character's are affecting Mia's decision on staying or going. Adam wanted her to stay but her Grandpa wanted her to go. That had a huge affect on her because she didn't know how to come back but she didn't want to make people sad.

If I were to choose an alternate ending, I think I'd make Mia wake up but then go back into her coma. At the end of the book Adam sees her eyes open and says "Mia?" I'd make her wake up but then add some suspicion and she closes her eyes again and lose pulse and her heart meter goes down. Just to add mystery.

The external conflict that I think affected the character the most was the car accident because she's in a coma now and that messed her up from seeing her family and Adam, and for the time she's in a coma having to live alone with nobody feeling or hearing you; it can really make her feel lonely.

Mia's motive is to find out how to get back into the real world and out of her coma because she wants to be able to live normally with the rest of her family and Adam.

The motivation behind the story, or Mia I think is mostly just to find out what her life is going to become, or what it is now. To make a decision and to try to find ways to come back. I think what is the cause of the motivation is her family and adam.

I think the person that has changed the most is Mia since she had the biggest decision to stay or to go with her family, or to stay with her friends and Adam her boyfriend. I think the snow day is the Catalyst, or the car accident since those two things are the reason Mia is making a life changing decision.
