What bothers me a little is that it's mostly about American people in space comparing what they see and experience to the North American landscape and North American history.
So the comparison often goes: "Imagine…a riparian meadow in a North American forest," or "I visited the Apollo sites....I viewed Neil Armstrong's footsteps".
Becky Chambers' other books are more diverse, I didn't notice overt America-centrism
