Seriously thinking about not finishing this. So far it feels disjointed and choppy with no real flow. The parts of the book that discuss slavery and the atrocities of same feel like a history lesson rather than part of the story. I don’t know that the author’s mix of these two genres works here. Anyway, about 25% done. Hopefully it gets better.
