Just digging into the chapter on Bergson, who I appreciate more and more as someone who will tell you many of the same hopeful things as Husserl and Heidegger, but in a way you can actually grasp without having a semi-mystical experience in the process.

The lineup in this collection seems to be confirming that with the possible exception of the American Pragmatists, the English-speaking world has been totally out of the game as far as philosophizing (and not just the logic-chopping analytic lunatics either, the whole gaggle) for well north of a century. Maybe more? I am really living on the North American Death Star over here. Send help.
