Very interesting, but I'm really unimpressed with the author referring to Zahra--who is EXTREMELY clear about being a boy and expecting to be a man in the future--as "she." Also unimpressed with the psychoanalysis of him; if the bacha role caused that, why ONLY Zahra, in the whole book (so far)? None of the "post-bacha" adults experienced that. And all the talk about GID feels very, very dated for a 2014 book.
