The last line of the recipe for a raw kale salad suggests bringing it to a party, "where I'm sure it would be a hit, at least with anyone willing to try it." I LOLed and checked the publication date. Friends, it was only 2010 when we lived in the pre-raw kale world.

I also read a chunk of the middle of this book earlier and I am so excited already. I feel like she has similar food indulgences and disdains, and I enjoy that each recipe is preceded by a story. More of micro-food essays + recipes than a cookbook cookbook.
