Ruby's got a job, and is now becoming more comfortable in her sisters house. Her and Nate are friends, but I can tell he sort of likes Ruby. Ruby's trying to tell her boss, Harriet, that her co worker and best friend likes Harriet. Ruby's brother in law is trying to help Ruby apply for college. Will Ruby go through with it?

Ruby is introduced to her neighbor. He goes to the same school. Ruby's brother in law arranged for their neighbors son to take Ruby to school. Ruby really didn't want to, but after a week of not getting up in time for the bus, she ends up carpooling. She learns he's not such a bad guy after all.

Ruby's started in the new school. Still not sure why her sister has now decided to look after her. Jamie seems to be nicest to her since Cora and him have taken Ruby in. Ruby feels out of place and doesn't feel welcome at her new home or school.
