This isn't a bad story by any means. Way more exciting than 九州•缥缈录.

Now it's getting interesting. The weird old Confucian wants to teach the hero martial arts in one night so he can beat an evil girl who has promised to marry the boy if he can beat her. Something of the opposite of what happens in 射雕英雄传, wherein the mischievous but good 黄蓉 entices masters to teach her beloved martial arts so he can become powerful enough to convince her father of his worth.

I just realized this is the first book in the omnibus. I just started reading, didn't imagine there's be something before the first book.
