In As Good as Dead, the climax is when Pippa is kidnapped by the DT killer. This is the climax because all the events prior to this lead up to this event. This is also when Pippa changes her opinions about a lot of people and finds out the truth about a lot of events.

In addition to that, the DT killer was never put in jail and the fact that the book is part of a murder mystery series.
