Isabel is having a hard situation.She needs to make sure that no one from her acting job can know she is doing commercials. The commercials can effect her career and her scholarship.I think that Isabel is very desperate because she really has to do the commercials but she can't let anyone know she is doing it. If she doesn't do the commercials, she has no way of getting into her dream school. On page 119, the text states, "So what are you doing over here?" There was no getting around the question now, but I can't tell him I was at a commercial audition." This shows that Isabel is really desperate of keeping her acting career so she can't tell that she was trying out for a commercial.On page 101, it printed, "If I could book a spot that airs in another country, I would never have to worry about Patricia Banner or anyone in the entire English-speaking world seeing it." This text explains that Isabel is thinking that she actually could represent a commercial without anyone knowing especially Patricia. Patricia is the woman who gave Isabel the scholarship. This all shows Isabel is desperate.
