A. Brave attempt to fill a lacuna in Crusader Studies that does not quite deliver. As usual the need to give a "History of the Crusades" summary detracts from actually focussing on how people lived. Adrian J Boas has gone a fair way to rectifying some problems with his "Domestic Settings: Sources on Domestic Architecture and Day to Day Activities in the Crusader States".
