Tommos father died trying to save him from a falling tree. since he died tommos family has been having trouble with money and his mother is being forsed to get a job helping an old ladey.Witch then forsed tommos grandmother to come watch him and his brothers.They think that she is mean and grumpy,because she makes them do lots of work.

Thomas's father died,trying to save thomas, his fathers job is what was paying for their house.since He died its forsing thomas's mom to get a job or they will be kicked out of their house. So his mother takes the job of taking care of an older ladey that need help. And thomas's grandmother comes to watch him and his brother. And they dont like her because she makes them do lots of work and she's grumpy.
