Even though I am still not that far into the book yet, I think that Kate de Vries will be the Catalyst, and the Dynamic character will be her father. I think this because I predict at the end of the book Kate will persuade her father to let her marry Matt. Even though Kate will persuade him, I think that he will still be unhappy with her even though he let her get married to Matt.

The biggest internal conflict for Matt is whether he should ask Kate to marry him. This is so important to him because it is one of the most important things that is going on in his head right now. The most important external conflict is who is going on the counterweight mission.This affects Matt greatly because if he isn't going, he doesn't have to worry about messing up, but if he is, it is the opposite.

The motivation behind Tobias's behavior in space is that he was the first one ever to do it, and when he had all of space around him, he went into a state of mind that told him he could do anything. That is why he was yelling at Matt to unclip him of his tether and to let him go to the moon. I know this because it says that on page 244 that when someone was enveloped in space, they think that anything is possible.

When Kate was trying to spot a Cloud Cat, she was looking for one to prove to Sir Hugh and the rest of the world that they actually existed. I know this because I just know that somewhere in the book she says that she wants to go on the expedition to prove that all of the wildlife in the air that she has discovered does exist.
