Beatrice sees an Erudite boy get left behind because he wasn't fast enough to catch up to the train and she says that boy is factionless now because he didn't pass the Dauntless initiation.

Caleb choose Erudite and Beatrice choose Dauntless while Beatrice is leaving she looks at her parents one last time and she wishes that she never left her factions and her parents.

Beatrice says that there are five actions 1-Amity, 2-Erudite, 3-Candor, 4-Abnegation, and 5-Dauntless and she has to choose only one faction. The one she chooses is the one she stays in.

Caleb invites Susan and Robert over to their house and Robert gives a weird look to Beatrice and Beatrice says that Robert and her have been giving each other looks for the past year.

Beatrice says that there is a dog in front of her ready to attack her but she then lays down on the floor to level her face to the dogs teeth and then the dog gets closer to her and licks her face and then Beatrice calms down and stands up.
