The opioid problem is a sprawling mess of a disaster & the book seems disorganized (hard). The addicts' stories are overwhelming in volume & degree & I find it to be disorganized & hard to follow as characters come & go & return. I wonder if this space could have been better spent in examining the science, politics, or economics of the issue more closely. Maybe the jumbled outline only makes it seem incomplete.
