The way that the author created a tone for being aboard the Hyperion depends a lot on his word choice and events while they are aboard the Hyperion. One of those events were when Hal and Matt are in Grunel's stateroom and are trying to find his riches, a message capsule came into the room, with nothing in it. This really made the ship a lot more creepy, even though they figured out what had happened.

This book does go along with what I like to read and what I look for in a book, because it is not only the second book in a trilogy that I love, but it is also an amazing adventure book. I can tell it will be amazing because I love it just from the first 2 chapters.
