If you're planning to read this for Asian Readathon, I don't recommend this book.

The author/MC has a lot of complex feelings with her mixed heritage, and her thoughts about being Malaysian is bordering negative.

I'm a bit uncomfortable with how her vampire origin/monstrosity is caused by being southeast asian, and both the MC with her mother feels they have to reject that part of themselves
