The Hunger Games, Catching Fire takes place in a dystopian world where the hunger games take place annually. Katniss is the victor of the 74th hunger game and also the main protagonist of the book. It is evident a rebellion is stewing against the totalitarianism government and rumors of the 75th reaping having one possible winner are spreading.

The Hunger Games, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins has a voyage archetype plot. We read as Katniss Everdeen attends the annual "hunger games" in which she must fight to survive the hurdles and threats thrown at her in order to win. This ultimatley develops Katniss with her experience in the games and her increased disdain against the corrupt leaders in the story.

Katniss Everdeen has endured many complications while attempting to overcome the corrupt government. One of the many are the ways President Snow threatens Katniss. One example of this is how he threatens Gale if she fails to convince people Peta and she are in love. This is a rising action on the way of the goal in trying to overcome the government is it complicates the story line.
