The main character in this book series, Bella Swan, has divorced parents. In book one she moved to Forks to live with her dad. Her mom lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her new boyfriend. For the most part Bella likes to keep things happening to her to herself, she tends not to share things with her dad. She has a close relationship with her boyfriend Edward.

I believe that the basic plot archetype if Twilight New Moon is voyage because Bella has to overcome so many supernatural events that she is faced with throughout the book, in which she wouldn't typically have to deal with.

Bella Swan, the main character, experiences what to her feels like the biggest complication in her life, which says a lot considering her parents are divorced. Bella realizes she has serious feelings for Edward even though he is a vampire and she knows that. Despite the fact that Edward is a super natural blood sucking creature, Bella still wants to marry him.
