You would never begin to think yekl and the imported bridegroom were written by the same person.
The imported bridegroom is better thematically, but seems myopic relative to yekl.
Ill defined characters dropped into the American venom; they don't change but the perspective shifts 10° in the other direction and they seem altered but really they're in a different pool of identical.
