The school always breaks my heart. How cruel, how wrong, how pointless.

We know that God is everywhere; but certainly we feel His presence most when His works are on the grandest scale spread before us; and it is in the unclouded night-sky, where His worlds wheel their silent course, that we read clearest His infinitude, His omnipotence, His omnipresence.

“Is he a good man?”
“He is a clergyman, and is said to do a great deal of good.”
Ah, what a difference between the two!

I just never got into books with that gothic feel, nor am I a fan of the Bronte sisters books. LOL
Lisa wrote: "i just can't with this book. LOL. too depressing"I actually find it very hopeful and encouraging rather than depressing, but to each their own :)

Ah! Understandable. Personally, I really love the Brontë novels, but as we say in French, les gouts, ça ne se discute pas—tastes can’t be discussed!
:) Indeed! Just as some strongly dislike Austen or any other classic author! It's funny what people love and hate. I think a lot of it also has to go with when they read it. I was in advanced classes in high school and so they made us read a lot of these books and then analyze them over and over which just don't jive much for high schoolers. And I am confident that's why I dislike some that others love. LOL.
