I ship Nikolai and Alina so hard it's ridiculous. Compared to Nikolai Mal is like a big gross piece of oily grease rag hanging over Alina's head, constantly begging to be validated and screaming for attention whenever Alina has other priorities. He's just exhaustingly terrible and Nikolai is such a dreamboat.
