Characterization: I think Minnow is very upset because his brother is going to go fight.He is so mad that some kids his age are going to throw a rock at Mas's(brother) window that he beats them up. He also say "They hit my head but I can't feel anything because of how mad I am".So the next day Minnow also signs up to fight.
