I heartily recommend this book! Mary McCampbell has a brilliant mind and a big heart and brings both to every chapter. Exploring the idea of empathy, Mary shows us how literature and music and pop culture help us practice imagination to avoid “othering.” The blueprint of Micah 6:8–how we should live—is shown in works by O’Connor, Sufjan Stevens, and Coupland, and TV/film like 3Colors:Blue and Better Call Saul.
