This is such a fun and quirky story. And it's about bread no less! But it's compulsively readable and the narrator is doing a great job. I think I found a cameo narration appearance by Ari Fliakos (narrator of Robin Sloan's Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore), too.

The intro about living in SE MI, being a programmer working at a car company, attending a university "an hour away", and living off of cheesy bread sticks from a pizza place (ahem, Gumby's at Michigan State University) was like a big warm nostalgia hug, reminding me of my 8 years in SE MI.
This is such a quirky story that I'm thoroughly enjoying, especially after the epic that was Troubled Blood.
