Okay, for the first time, I am actually, genuinely annoyed. Here's what not to do to someone you've just realized was horribly physically abused as a child: do not stare, do not push them to tell you how and why it happened; it's not persistence, it's obnoxious. Especially when your reasoning is, "But I wanna TOUCH you during sex!" And he's not comfortable with that. RESPECT IT.

Pretty certain now that Ana's "inner goddess" in, in fact, a series of Cathy comic panels....

My least favorite of all of Ana's linguistic ticks was, by far, her 'oh my's--until I started reading them as George Takei would! Now they're one of the best things about the book. OHHH MYYYY!

I think I may be the only one more offended by Jose's behavior than christian's so far....

There are so many soft gasps and intakes of breath, I'm surprised all the characters aren't passing out all over the place, like those fainting goats.
