The book is great I’m sure but I’m stuck on the part where succeeding generations don’t value the trees. I’m such a bleeding heart tree hugger.

I love trees and I’m stuck for some reason on this family who neglects and cuts down their patriarch’s trees. When I pick it up again I will skip that part.

I find this book very sad because I love trees and it seems like the trees in the beginning are treated badly.
