Hardly made a dent in the novel, but have discovered the POV changes constantly. Constantly! And yet, every single voice sounds the same. The only difference is, those who are in love are way too over dramatically in love, and the others are just snarky. So. If you're going to do multiple voices, shouldn't they feel distinct? And too much explaining what's going on in people's minds. Too much. Stop explaining.

When you describe someone's actions, and let one person interpret them--fine. But then quickly flip POV to that other person so now they are explaining all their actions that we had just interpreted.... Ugh. But now we know that their flushes are because they are simmering in constant longing... Double Ugh. Why am I reading this?

Dear gods and stardust! How many times must I read that stupid phrase, along with K and A locking eyes and the heat and wistful abandon that erupts each time? Oh, not to mention all the explanations of every single thought every single person has. THere's something to the art of evocative language, and she lays it on thick. The fact that a second is ruminated over for 6 pages does not bode well for my patience.

27 pages in and the writing has already given me a headache. So melodramatic! So unrestrained. And oh, the eyes, how they meet with a 'sting of clarity'
