All Hector could think was to stay calm from Joey and act like he was doing something as his heart beated nervously from Joey. Hector acted like he got something in his backpack and stopped until Joey left the classroom and that was when Mr.Lozano congratulated Hector on the award and said he was looking forward on seeing him Saturday. Mr Lozano said that Hector can wear his sons tie in honor of him passing in Iraq.

On the school comms they announced that Joey and Azi had had there essays won first place and all the cheered Joey and Azi on and Joey noticed and bumped Hector when he walked by.

The next day at Lozano's history class, Joey sat next to Hector instead of sitting in the back and would glare at Hector whenever the teacher wasn't looking. Hector tried his best to ignore Joey and called Azi and told her to meet at the basketball courts after school. Hector noticed that Joey had shown interest in Azi and was trying to protect Azi from Joey and decided what to tell her first about the incident.

Fili talked about how he isn’t that good at planning, but he said that he can work on the house for next couple months.

Fili was explaining how the house wasn't just for him but for all of them so they don't have to worry about problems especially with Manny and his car since Fili is a mechanic and knows what he is doing. The downside part is that FIli needs 16k to for a down payment. Hector realized that this meant the house was for all of them and was really happy but then realized and asked Fili about the 16k and how he can get it.

Mami and Gloria followed Fili into a small kitchen and Mami ran her hand over and realized how nostalgic everything in the kitchen was as she said "I haven't seen one that was shorter than me in a long time." which she referred to as a refrigerator. Hector looked out the kitchen window and saw eight pecan trees lined in 2 rows of 4 and a structure that looked like a seperate garage. Aurora was peering out a window.

Gloria, Mami, Fili Hector and Aurora all squeezed into the cab of Filis truck and Fili drove them 15 minutes east and turned left onto a street that was fulled of fancy houses of 2 stories. They went into a house and it reminded there mom of the house she grew up in since the tile was a Mexican tile from Oaxaca and she walked in almost as if it were a church.

Gloria continued to talk to Hector about Chavo and Gloria said that Chavos business was the reason they aren't a thing anymore. She started to talk about the good things in Chavo rather than the bad things and said that he was always paying loans for her, buying her food etc and Gloria soon spoke about how she now sees Chavo all terrified in a honest way which made Hector feel like things would turn out well.

Fili was making Chilaquiles and told everyone to come and get some. Gloria was with Fili and as they got the food ready everyone sat at the table. Gloria and FIli on one side, Hector and Aurora on the other, and the Mom at the head of the table. After they ate Hector had a talk with Gloria about Chavo and found out that Gloria knew about Hectors worries. However Gloria had no idea about Chavos business.

Hector asked Aurora if she knew who Gloria was and Aurora said yes and started talking to Fili who was in the kitchen cooking food and shouting full of energy.
