I love how bad she is at being a vampire at first, I would be just as awkward.

So far characters have refered to a bludgeoning rape as "unfortunate events" and murdering people and drinking their blood as a "life-style choice". Gag, gag, gag.

Alyssa's inner monologue is killing me. Internal thoughts are translated into such explicit sentences make her sound like an idiot, and I'm doing my best to skim past those groan worthy thoughts to get to the meat of the book.
