I am only onto the second chapter, actually skipped second to read a few pages from third chapter. But, would recommend it highly just for the beauty of prose in the introductory chapter. My appreciation of Hugo as well as Llosa goes up by many, many notches reading this book. Llosa lovers and those who know Hugo only for Les Miserables please read this go beyond .A chance discovery on the shelves of Asiatic Library.
