I would not be friends with the main character, She is exteremly self centered and would treat me horribly just like she treats Reva. We wouldn't even know each other, and if we did know each other neither of us would have the energy to put effort into the friendship.

An identifying moment in this book is when Reva takes the main characters drugs and hides them in her apartment. The main character realizes how miserable the world is and decides when she gets her drugs back, she is going to use them to sleep for the rest of the year.
