It's been largely toned-down so far, as far as many of the stranger dishes go. No descriptions of what eating eyeballs is like that I've noticed.
The odd dish is mentioned every chapter or so, but many of the recipes actually sound quite good. Perhaps due to Zimmerns' obvious enjoyment in his descriptions.
