Oh my goodness. Less than 50 pages in and there have been a handful of lines so achingly beautiful that they’ve knocked the breath out of me.
This reading experience reminds me of when I read The Art of Racing in The Rain for the first time. I knew, logically, within the first few pages that Enzo was going to die at some point. But I kept going because the writing made me feel alive. So too does this book.
